Georgia’s alcohol regulatory system has undergone significant modernization through the decades while maintaining the proven three-tier framework that benefits all industry stakeholders. Since 2011, the number of Georgia craft distilleries has grown from just three to 190, while craft breweries and wineries have also massively expanded their presence statewide. These changes have strengthened local manufacturing, increased tourism, and created new economic opportunities while preserving the safeguards and accountability built into our alcohol distribution system.
